Abstract
A number of corporations have played a significant role in the enhancement of social welfare by cause-related marketing, donation, sponsorship, and so on. In many cases, these activities have been carried out as a part of corporate social responsibility(CSR) and have been addressed in terms of accountability as well as spontaneity within the company, especially as publicity has been emphasized in reputation and evaluation of companies. However, as creating shared value(CSV) began to be used in earnest in 2006, more and more companies are interested in win-win development that pursues corporate profits and community’s welfare beyond the viewpoint of responsibility for society. Furthermore, recently, it has become clear that companies are actively engaged in solving social problems as mightily important management strategies. This study examines the new trends of prosocial management and examines the examples of Warby Parker and Bymom who actively perform social problem solving as the main mission of corporate management.
