KBR aims to:
- Share research and related information on business education among members of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA)
- Promote creative and useful new approaches to business education
- Develop and utilize teaching cases that contribute to business education and practice
- Develop and utilize more meaningful research methodologies closely aligned with business realities
- Innovate business education through collaboration between academia and industry
I. General Submission Guidelines for KBR
Manuscripts submitted for publication in KBR, the case study journal published by the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA), must comply with the following submission guidelines and manuscript preparation instructions.
1. Topics and Management Guidelines
- KBR is limited to business case development, business case teaching methods, research in the field of business administration, and other research or cases aimed at improving and innovating business education. Manuscripts and cases that align with the above publication objectives are categorized, submitted, reviewed, and published under the following four categories: ① Teaching Cases ② Papers that contribute to business practice and research ③ Papers on Business Education and Research Methodology ④ Short papers with actionable insights, innovative case analyses, and novel research findings (KBR Research & Insights section)
- Authors must be associate or regular members of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA), and must hold regular membership status at the time of publication.
- Research papers must not have been previously published in other academic journals or periodicals.
- The Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA) retains the copyright of published papers; however, authors may freely exercise the right to use their papers.
- Submitted manuscripts will not be returned.
2. Manuscript Submission and Publication
KBR is published four times a year. Manuscripts are accepted on a rolling basis, with publication dates as follows: Issue 1 on February 28 (29), Issue 2 on May 31, Issue 3 on August 31, and Issue 4 on November 30. Only manuscripts that have completed all review processes and received approval from the Editor-in-Chief are eligible for publication.
3. Submission and Delivery
- Submitted manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the KBR Manuscript Preparation Guidelines. Manuscripts that do not conform to the required format or are missing essential components such as Korean/English abstracts or references may be returned without review for reformatting and resubmission.

When submitting a manuscript for the first time, please note the following:
- The date of receipt is the date the manuscript is submitted online.
- Submission method: Submit online.
- A KCI (Korea Citation Index) similarity check result (similarity rate within 10%) must be submitted along with the manuscript.
- The cover letter must be submitted separately from the review copy, in the form of a cover page attached to the original manuscript file.
- All manuscripts must include both Korean and English abstracts and keywords without exception.
- When submitting a manuscript, if the paper or case covers two or more subject areas, the relevant fields must be clearly indicated through keywords.
- Manuscript review: The Editorial Board determines whether to accept submitted manuscripts and the order of publication.
- Authors may request a Fast Track review. In this case, the initial review will be conducted within 10 days after reviewers are assigned, and the author must pay a separate submission fee as instructed by the Editorial Board.
4. Submission Fees, Publication Fees, and Review Fees

5. Manuscript Consulting and Editing Service
- KBR provides a manuscript consulting and editing service to alleviate the burden authors face during the manuscript preparation process, enhance the formal completeness of manuscripts, and improve editing quality.

This service is operated under the auspices of the KBR Editorial Board and includes the following:
- Reviewing and correcting the overall format of the manuscript to comply with KBR submission guidelines
- Verifying the accuracy of reference citations and formatting, and performing necessary corrections
- Checking tables and figures for compliance with guidelines and organizing them accordingly
- Basic proofreading including typographical errors, spelling, and spacing
- Suggesting relevant references appropriate to the paper's topic to enhance citation possibilities
- This service is provided only upon request, and applications are made through the application link on the KBR website.
- The fee for this service is KRW 200,000 per manuscript, and payment must be made to the designated account following the instructions provided after application submission.
- The proofread results will be returned to the applicant in electronic document format, and revision history and related feedback will be provided if necessary.
- This service is intended to support formal and expressive completeness in accordance with KBR submission guidelines and editorial policies. The academic appropriateness of the manuscript content, interpretation of research results, and validity remain the sole responsibility of the author.
- Even if this service is used, the decision on whether to publish is determined through KBR's independent review process, and use of the service does not guarantee publication.
