Abstract
Ethical management is a critical issue today, as the social responsibility of firms is demanded. This article explores the case of Apple and Foxconn in the perspective of ethical management. Foxconn is a firm in the electronic manufacturing service industry, assembling and producing the iPhone and iPad as an Apple’s subcontractor. In the relationship, Apple seems to be in trouble, as Foxconn causes labor problems involving suicides of Chinese young workers. This article provides detail information for a series of events and situations that Foxconn and apple is undergoing, and gives an opportunity to think about the desirable scope of ethical management.
