Exploration on Human Resource Development(HRD) trends of Korean Large Enterprises

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore Human Resource Development(HRD) trends of Korean large enterprises. The 26 HRD professionals working at domestic businesses were selected as a group of experts for this study and the delphi research was conducted three times. The factor analysis was applied to confirm HRD trends of Korean large enterprises importance recognition of 92 HRD practitioners. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, the 14 trends are drawn; building strategic partnership with top management zone, establishing and sharing core values - oriented organizational culture, supporting HRD activities to lead changes and innovation, aligning HRD and HRM for talent management, etc. Second, these trends are analyzed into three domains, such as strategic talent management, intensifying the performance - centered HRD activities, and providing total learning solution. It is expected that the findings from this study will be useful for HRD practitioners to understand the current level of HRD trends and suggest the standards for building HRD strategies reflecting the HRD trends. Subsequently, it is expected to contribute for improving overall HRD level and securing HRD practitioners specialty.
