Abstract

The recent passion for e-Business created new markets and opportunities which did not exist previously. The market of website evaluation is also one of the new fields and e-Research, a strong player of the current MIS assessment market. However, e-Research realized that the market is fairly different from expected. First of all, the market attracted competitors which were not anticipated and equipped with peculiar competencies. In addition, the customers in this market showed very different viewpoints; they do not really want to be assessed. All of these mean that the core competencies of e-research may not be applicable to this newly emerging market.
