The Activity and Communication-centric Management Case Study for the Financial Management System Development Project Performance with IFRS

Abstract

The purpose of this study aims to derive a core application plan for successful implementation of large-scale projects by an analyzing communication-centric management case of A bank, which have been applied to accounting management system development project with IFRS. In the financial management system development project with IFRS of A bank which is analyzed in this study, the activities that reach 19,000 were subdivided into micro units and the average performance days were defined to not go over two weeks. And it features the activity distributions of bank practitioners who have owners personality were much more than accountants or IT developers who have performers personality of projects. In addition, the analysis of business cycle configuration based on the number of active connections shows that the business standardization which fits phased job characteristics has been attempted. And the distribution of the activity which is performed step-by-step, is relatively concentrated in the middle of the stage than an early stage or late stage, so it has been analyzed that it has been progressed similarly with an ideal process to improve business performances. According to the analysis results, in this study, in case the expertises of the people are numerous and independent as the example of the financial management system development project with IFRS of A bank, we suggest that it is crucial to concentrate on clear regulations of R&R, activity standardization, compliance with regulations and designation by small unit, systemization of real-time operating environment, aggressive improvement of delay causes and activation of business communication, and clear regulations of input and output for project success rates.
